The San Pedro Cristata (Trichocereus Pachanoi Cristata) represents a fascinating and rare variety of the traditional San Pedro cactus, known for both its unique morphology and its psychedelic properties. This particular form of cactus is distinguished by its distinctive and unusual growth habit, reminiscent of the coils of a brain lobe. This unique growth pattern, known as cristate or crested growth, occurs when the cactus develops multiple growth points, resulting in a broadly flared shape that contrasts sharply with the straight, columnar growth of the standard San Pedro cactus.

It is therefore unique that we can offer these in pot to our guests. A cactus shaped like an organ pipe with a brain lobe resembling head on the main stem. The head forms because this cactus has multiple growing points. Where the traditional San Pedro grows only in height, the head of San Pedro Cristata Lime grows in all directions. This also characterizes the crest on this psychedelic cactus.
Cultivation and growth information San Pedro Cristata
- San Pedro Cristata is a fast-growing cactus.
- San Pedro does well in direct sunlight or partial shade.
- Growing outdoors in the hot summer, we recommend that you water your cactus regularly, at least once or twice a week.
- If you are growing indoors then we recommend placing the cactus in a warm room, and watering consistently at least once every two weeks. Water from below and not from above in the pot. Place the pot on a container filled with water to allow the roots to absorb the water.
