Instructions Copelandia Hawaiian grow kit

  1. Open the box and take out the contents. The box contains:
    – 1 grow kit
    – 1 grow bag
    – 1 cup with top layer (casing layer)
  2. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. We recommend latex gloves and (alcoholic)
hand sanitizer. Wear a mouth mask if necessary. Spread the top coat evenly over the substrate. It is best to do this with your hands while wearing clean latex gloves. Then place the culture kit in the culture bag provided.
  3. While the grow kit is in the grow bag, thoroughly spray the top layer so that it is well
moist (but not soggy!). Also spray the inside of the bag. Make sure
there is plenty of fresh air in the bag and close it with a paper clip.
  4. Continue to spray the top layer and the inside of the grow bag daily (1-2 times a day). Gently squeeze the bag to remove old air and add fresh oxygen. It is very important at this stage to keep the top layer and the grow bag moist.
  5. After 6 to 11 days, the mushrooms begin to form (pins). At that time, remove the culture kit from the bag, spray the inside of the bag and change the air. Cyanescens react badly to direct contact with water. Then put the grow kit back in the bag.
It may happen that the mushrooms grow slower or are smaller at the first flush. If this happens, remove the grow kit from the bag and pour 1-2 cm of water into the bag. Growth will resume after a day or two.
  6. The mushrooms are ready to be harvested 5-7 days after pinning. Harvest them 24-36
hours after the black spores begin to fall. Unlike Cubensis, with Cyanescens it is better to let them ripen a little longer. Pick the mushrooms by gently pushing them over until the stem breaks at the bottom.
  7. After harvesting, rehydrate the top layer thoroughly by spraying thoroughly from
about 10 cm away. It does not matter if an inch or two of water remains at the bottom of the grow bag
. The second flush will now begin. Keep the bag moist, but always avoid spraying the new mushrooms.
