Description

The Mac Galactic Mushroom Grow Kit from Mystic Fungi is specially designed for users looking for an efficient, user-friendly and high-quality grow kit. This grow kit allows you to grow mushrooms at home in a structured manner, with minimal effort and maximum yield.

Features

  • Rapid colonization: The Mac Galactic species is known for its rapid and vigorous colonization of the substrate. The first harvest is often visible within 14 to 21 days after activation.
  • Large fruiting bodies: These mushrooms develop sturdy stems and wide hats up to 8 cm in diameter, resulting in generous yields per flush.
  • Reliable performance: The robust mycelium is resistant to common contaminants, contributing to a stable and consistent culture process.
  • Strong profile: This strain is among the more potent variants within the Psilocybe cubensis family and is especially popular among experienced users.

Ingredients and/or composition

  • Fully colonized mycelium-based substrate
  • Grow bag with air filter
  • Includes pocket clip for closure

Usage / instructions

A clean working environment is essential for successful cultivation. Use only tap or mineral water to moisten the kit. Avoid using distilled or demineralized water.

  1. Make sure your work area is clean to prevent other microorganisms from contaminating your grow kit. It is important to work hygienically. Always use clean tap or mineral water for misting and soaking your grow kit. Do not use distilled water or demi water as it is not suitable.
  2. Remove the bag from the box and unroll it.
  3. Open the bag by removing the airtight clip at the top. Provide the bag with some fresh air by gently stretching it, then reseal it with the clip. To prevent mushrooms from growing on the sides of the substrate, you can place a rubber band around the outside of the bag at the level of the top of your substrate to reduce the chance of side pins. Place the rubber band approximately 1.5 cm below the top of the substrate.
  4. Monitoring growth: Keep a close eye on the bag once the mushrooms start growing. You don’t need to water for the first two flushes. Once the caps begin to open, it’s time to harvest. Note that not all varieties have veils or drop spores.
  5. Harvesting: Ensure a clean environment before harvesting by disinfecting your hands with alcohol and preferably wearing latex gloves. To harvest, twist the mushrooms clockwise. Harvest as soon as the caps begin to open for optimal potency. The fruits are ready for harvest after two to four weeks, depending on growth conditions and the mushroom variety.
  6. Post-harvest maintenance: After harvesting the second flush, add a small amount of water (about 1/3 up to the level of the substrate in the bag). Reseal the bag with the clip and ensure it is airtight. Don’t forget to add fresh air by removing and reattaching the clip. Pour off excess water if it hasn’t been absorbed within twelve hours.
  7. Temperature control: Ensure the temperature remains stable within the 20–25°C (68–77°F) range for the best growth results. Avoid large fluctuations in temperature.
  8. Subsequent harvests: Expect to harvest at least twice from each bag, though it may be possible to obtain three or even four harvests. After each harvest, reseal the bag and add water to encourage further flushes.
