Description

These raw cacao nibs from Peru consist of pure pieces of cacao bean and have a full, distinct cacao flavor. The cacao originates from Peru, a country known for its long tradition of cacao cultivation and vast biodiversity. The nibs are carefully selected and are a versatile choice for anyone wanting to use pure cacao without unnecessary additives.

Features

The cacao nibs are 100% pure and unprocessed and contain no added ingredients. They naturally have a powerful, slightly bitter taste reminiscent of dark chocolate. The firm, crunchy texture makes the nibs suitable for eating directly, as well as for combining with all kinds of dishes and drinks.

Use them, for example, as a topping for your breakfast, mix them into a smoothie or dessert, or incorporate them into various recipes. Additionally, the cacao nibs can be used as a base for a traditional or ceremonial cacao preparation.

Ingredients and composition

100% raw cacao nibs from Peru.

Use

Cacao nibs can be eaten straight from the packaging. Due to their crunchy texture and intense cacao flavor, they are delicious in yogurt, oatmeal, muesli, smoothies, and desserts, among other things. They can also be incorporated into baking recipes or finely ground.

For a ceremonial preparation, the nibs can optionally be lightly roasted first. Then, grind them as finely as possible and mix the ground cacao with warm, but not boiling, water or plant-based milk. Stir well until a smooth drink is formed. Cinnamon, vanilla, or a natural sweetener can be added to taste.

Guidelines for a ceremonial preparation:

  • Light amount: approximately 20 g
  • Average amount: 20–40 g
  • Larger amount: from 40 g

Prepare the cacao calmly and mindfully and, for ceremonial use, preferably choose a comfortable environment where you have enough time to enjoy the preparation and the moment.
